The Nasco Arteriosclerosis and Thrombosis with Artery Cross-Section Model is designed for a detailed study of the pathological phases of arteriosclerosis, including the formation of atheroma plaques and the occurrence of thrombosis.
Features:
10 times the natural size with a cross-section of the artery that shows the atheroma plaque in the different pathological phases, together with local intravascular coagulation (thrombosis), due to arterial narrowing
This pathology is characterized by thickening of the arterial walls, with subsequent loss of elasticity, and is associated with the formation of plaques (mainly cholesterol) in the arterial lumen
Arteriosclerosis is more common in developed countries
Allows clear visualization of the different structures involved in the process
Mounted on a polymer base with a metal support and rod
Accompanied by an interactive 3D anatomical model with augmented reality to encourage learning, support comparative analysis, and provide opportunities for continuing education in anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology
