Product Description

Realistic chest trauma, pneumothorax, and chest tube management training.

The Life/form Chest Tube Manikin is designed to teach the anatomy, theory, and hands-on skills required to manage chest trauma, perform chest tube insertion, and maintain closed chest drainage systems. This trainer allows learners to practice procedures used in pre-hospital, emergency department, and critical care settings, while clearly visualizing the anatomical structures involved.

The right side of the manikin features cutaway viewing windows that show the relationship between the skin, musculature, ribs, and lungs. The left side includes a pressurized pneumothorax site and a functional chest tube insertion site, allowing realistic training for decompression and fluid drainage procedures.

Fluid color, volume, and viscosity can be adjusted by the instructor, and the trainer may be used with commercially available closed water-seal drainage systems. Replaceable pads and layered tissue structures provide realistic resistance and allow repeated practice.
