The 3B Scientific Catheterization Basic Kit is a combination of the Catheterization Basic Kit, Pelvis model, and Urinary Tract Anatomy Chart.

• Catheterization Simulator Basic Features:
  
  • Direct learning - When the catheter has been correctly inserted, fluid runs out just like with a real patient. The catheter can also be checked through the transparent bladder at any time
  • Various levels of difficulty (8000898 Only) - On the male insert, three different levels of narrowing of the urethra can be set. In the narrowest setting, catheterization is not possible, leading to the conclusion that a suprapubic catheter is needed
  • Male or female bladder catheterization procedures can be realistically demonstrated, practiced, and assessed
  • The genital insert is placed into the holder and held in place with magnets
  • Students can practice all the necessary gestures for catheterization (e.g., disinfection)
  • Material gives a realistic feeling when inserting and removing the catheter into the bladder, with realistic resistance and insertion depths
  • Recommended catheter sizes:
    • Urethral narrowing (open) - 16 CH catheter or 14 CH balloon catheter
    • Urethral narrowing (partial narrowing) - 14 CH catheter or 12 CH balloon catheter
• Urinary Tract Chart Features:
  • Anatomy of the physiology of the human urinary tract is illustrated on a colorful anatomical chart
  • Microanatomy of the renal corpuscle, cortex, and medulla is included
  • Includes other useful information about the urinary tract system, making it a great educational tool
  • Laminated: Printed on premium glossy (200 g) UV-resistant paper and comes with 2-sided lamination (75 micron) and metal eyelets for hanging. It can be written on and wiped off with non-permanent markers. The 125 micron lamination ensures the chart does not curl up at the edges, and the UV treatment ensures the chart does not get a faded yellow color over time

Please note: For catheterization, we recommend using catheters with only one or two drainage eyes opposite each other. Both silicone and PVC catheters can be used. Catheters with a curved tip should not be used!

According to the guidelines for correct catheterization, even during the simulation, lubricating gel (not included) should be placed into the urethra to ensure that the catheter can be inserted smoothly. Alternatively, some lubricating gel can be placed on the tip of the catheter.
