Shielding International's lead blockers and lead vinyl sheeting are vinyl covered, but with unfinished (exposed) edges. Avoid direct contact with exposed edges. It is recommended to wear gloves and enclose the lead blocker or sheeting with a polybag. Improper handling may result in contact with lead residue from the exposed edges.

Can you cut the 12 x 12 into 6 x6 pieces? Is there a way you can cover the edges as well?
Per the manufacturer, yes, these can be cut in the field using an Exacto knife.
The vinyl sheeting is not available with sealed edges. It is recommended to wear gloves and enclose the lead blocker or sheeting with a polybag.
