Will this waterbath work with proplene glycol

Although propylene glycol has some minor effects on the 316 grade stainless steel, the only damage that we expect it to cause to the inner chamber would be some discoloration. (As long as the bath is drained and cleaned weekly.) However, the plastic parts (housing) and the seals could certainly be damaged by this chemical and any spillage would have to be wiped off of these parts immediately following contact. In addition, the lid should only be used at temperatures below 55°C, as higher temperatures could cause condensation to form (and corrode) the plastic lid. Using this unit with propylene glycol would require a great deal of extra care. Therefore, the manufacturer does not recommend it.
