Can this be used for transfer from bed to wheelchair or commode or only when patients is flat?

This item is designed to assist in the transfer of a patient from one flat surface to another, such as from a bed to a table or stretcher. We do not recommend that this product be used to assist a patient from a bed to a chair or commode.
