Pipettes

Pipettes | Laboratory Pipettes | Liquid Handling Pipettes

Pipettes are laboratory tools that are used to transfer a measured volume of liquid. When the top portion of the pipette is squeezed, a partial vacuum is created which allows the instrument to draw in the desired amount of liquid. These laboratory instruments are used for many different types of molecular biology and chemistry applications. Pipettes are also designed with ranging levels of accuracy and precision.

One of the most commonly used types of pipettes is micropipettes. These pipettes can disburse between 1 and 1,000 milliliters. Micropipettes are broken down even further into air displacement and positive displacement pipettes. Positive displacement pipettes are often used for volatile and viscous liquids. They are also used in applications where contamination prevention is critical. Air displacement micropipettes allow users to adjust the volume of liquid that is dispensed from the pipette tip. We offer the following models of air displacement micropipettes including multi-channel, single-channel, repeater, and adjustable volume.
