Applications:

  • Dithiothreitol (DTT - Cleland's Reagent) is used in enzyme preparations to prevent formation of disulfides from sulfhydryl group, thereby stabilizing the enzyme.
  • DTT should be warmed to room temperature before opening.
  • DTT solutions should be made fresh prior to use.
  • Note: Do NOT autoclave DTT or solutions containing DTT
