Applications: For use in cell culture medica to inhibit gram-gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria
IBI Carbenicillin Disodium Salt is a semi-synthetic antibiotic which interferes with cell wall synthesis of gram negative bacteria by inactivating transpeptidases on the inner surface of the cell membrane. Carbenicillin displays low toxicity to plant tissues.
IBI Carbenicillin Disodium Salt is commonly used as a selective antibiotic for resistive Agrobacterium and E. coli at typical concentrations of 100 - 500 ug/ml in water.
