IBI's IB51025 QS-710 Casting Fixture mates with the QS-710 UVT Casting Tray (IB51020), and the QS-710 Next Generation UVT Casting Trays (IB51021 & IB51022), to allow a 7cm (wide) x 10cm (long) agarose gel to be poured for use in the QS-710 Quick Screen Horizontal Electrophoresis System (IB51000.)


The QS-710 Casting Fixture, which contains a compressible gasket, mates with one of the mentioned casting trays to create a seamless casting system for pouring agarose gels outside of the QS-710 gel rig. This allows for continual use of the electrophoresis system with no downtime for gel preparations. Once an agarose gel is molded, the casting tray is separated from the casting fixture and placed into the gel system's buffer tank to run the desired gel.


The Casting Fixture is constructed of durable 1/4-inch cast acrylic for years of reliable service without cracking or warping. It contains a compressible gasket for ease of use while pouring gels without any necessary adjustments, leaky gates, or casting tape.


An IB51025 is included with every IB51000 (QS-710 Electrophresis System). This item is primarily used as a replacement item or if a user requires additional fixtures for increased throughput.
