MRI Patient Transport

Not all patients are physically able to walk unassisted into an MRI suite; many require a form of MRI patient transfer. MRI's utilize radio and magnetic waves, thus requiring that everything present in the suite be constructed of nonmagnetic materials. It is not feasible to use everyday wheelchairs and common stretchers present in the other departments of your medical office. MRI patient transfer requires special items to accommodate your patients. It is necessary to have nonmagnetic patient transfer equipment on hand at any facility in which MRI imaging is offered.
