MRI Contrast & Flush Injector

The SmartSet was designed specifically for the dual injection of contrast and flush during an MR Angiography procedure. Off-the-shelf components, like stopcocks, are not well suited for this type of procedure where timing is critical. The SmartSet is a complete unit, except for syringes, which are supplied by the end user. The SmartSet features two one-way valves for automatic transfer from saline to contrast, coiled extension tubing to facilitate patient entry and exit from the magnet, and precisely measured, low volume tubing for exact pre-flush measurement. The SmartSet is designed specifically for hand injection of contrast and flush. Hand injection is considered safer than power injection in cases where the patient has central lines, weak veins, or in pediatric patients. Hand injection with the SmartSet also makes it easy for the technologist to give breath holding instructions, to activate the scanner, and to establish rapport with the patient.
